Our expert staff gets asked this question a lot. How do I resurface my concrete driveway concrete? The first preparation of the site is key.

,

Concrete is strong and stable. You can simply put a thicker slab of concrete on top. Ground beneath concrete driveways may shift or sink. It’s impossible to know what it might contain until it’s been dug up.

,

Two problems arise when bricks are placed on top of concrete.

,

The first means that the based has not been prepared.

,

Next is the quality of concrete.

,

Any problems found in bricks can be seen through one of these layers. Brick driveways made of concrete can cause bricks to be unstable. Concrete expansion joints can easily become cracks, which can lead to costly repairs. Extreme cases have also been reported where the ground has shifted over time, causing cracks all around the house..  If you’re unsure just head over to - or call one of our paving professionals.

Although brick pavers may look great and seem easier than concrete, there will be issues over time. It’s not financially prudent to follow this route because the driveway will require a lot more work in future. It’s better to just get rid of the concrete first so that you avoid any future issues and costs.
